Imaginasium adds new position

Marla Maney

Marla Maney, Imaginasium’s Media and PR Specialist, has been selected to lead the developing area of Brand Distribution as Manager. Her experience with and knowledge of traditional advertising media, as well as non-traditional approaches, make her the right choice to handle the new position’s responsibilities.

“The old-school thinking regarding media is history. What we do is first consider the clients’ unique brand stories; second is establishing the objectives; and third, the audiences we need to talk to. Only then will we even begin discussing the ways to reach them,” Maney explained. “It’s a consumer-driven world now, and our culture continues to change so quickly. My responsibility is to get our clients noticed and, most importantly, understood,” Maney added.

Patrick Hopkins, President of Imaginasium, elaborates, “Our clients realize that the tried-and-true ways of targeting an audience with an advertising message may not be the most effective. There have been huge shifts in the way consumers receive information and how they make purchasing decisions. And we’re shifting, too,” he explained. “Marla is a valuable part of how our firm connects our clients with consumers,” Hopkins said.

This new position of Brand Distribution Manager, while unique to Northeast Wisconsin and perhaps the entire state, is something that Maney has been doing for close to a year as part of Imaginasium’s full brand alignment approach.

“People are becoming more open-minded in how they receive information, but they continue to be selective in exactly what they’ll read and listen to. It’s my job to work with our in-house team to discover the best ways to break through the clutter, deliver a message, and engage customers. Podcasts. Radio ads. In-store interactive displays. Internet blogs. Anything is possible,” Maney said.
