2008Hopkins shares praise of winning award“A true team effort” is how Imaginasium President Patrick Hopkins described the award recently given to him by The Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay. Pat was honored with the President’s Award as 2008 Board Member of the Year by the local non-profit organization at its December annual retreat. Pat notified the Imaginasium staff of the award on the firm’s internal Yammer page: “[They presented this to me] in large part because of what all of you have helped accomplish. [I] gave full kudos to the team.” Joe Bergner, Imaginasium Principal and Executive Creative Director, elaborated, “There definitely is a strong team effort on this important account, but it’s Pat’s dedication and insight that assist The Club on a regular basis. His personal involvement, especially the past two years, has allowed us to be a more effective partner than we’ve ever been.” The Club itself sees Pat’s input as vital to their success. “Imaginasium’s overall commitment … is substantial, and we would be nowhere from a marketing standpoint without that collective support,” said John Benberg, Executive Director of The Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay. “Not only does Pat commit the expertise and resources of Imaginasium, he chairs our marketing committee, to which he’s recruited an additional five outside experts. Few, if any, Clubs in America have the luxury of ongoing professional support for their marketing function like we do,” he added. During the past year, Imaginasium created numerous marketing pieces for The Club. The 2007 annual report included an added twist—it was also available online and included videos of kids sharing their stories about The Club. This helped connect the kids to supporters of The Club in an exciting and personal way. The firm once again produced materials for A Taste of Wine and Cheese, the organization’s largest fundraising event. The posters, magazine ad, printed invitations, and electronic invitations helped set a new attendance record, and the work was awarded with a local ADDY. For 2009, the firm has created a dedicated website for the event. Lastly, this November, kids from The Club decorated the large windows of Imaginasium to celebrate the holiday season. The Be Festive project is not only a way for the firm to celebrate the spirit of the season, it also helps promote The Club to the public. |
